Sometimes I feel like saying, “lord, I just don’t care”
You got the love I need to see me through.

About

You Got The Love is about bringing people together on the dance floor to fund raise and create awareness for good causes. We like to call it ‘socially conscious clubbing’. Dance music has always spread a positive message, so why not use it as a means to improve lives.

We organise events that are designed for specific societal challenges. Mental health, isolation and domestic violence are all on the rise post-pandemic. Price rises will no doubt contribute to homelessness, vulnerability and the need for food banks. Plus the distribution of people due to unnecessary conflict.

Many of us are aware of the problems. It feels almost impossible to try and find a solution to these complex issues. That said, we have faith in mankind’s ability to learn, adapt and take action. There is great power in communities. When we come together, lift each other up and give a helping hand something magical happens. Add some great music to the mix and we’ve got ourselves a party.

“I simply want to play music and raise money for good causes. However, can I do this in a self-sustaining way so I can do more of it? That’s what this project is all about – using music as a force for good and trying to do it long enough to create positive change.”

“The dance floor is my happy place. A place where people from all races, places, genders and differences meet to share one thing – the love of great music. The dance music community is one of the kindest and most inclusive families to be a part of. Music lifts us up and spreads the gospel of freedom, peace, love, happiness and equality.”

“I’ve been lucky enough to be a DJ and designer for over 20 years. In this current climate, I believe I can use my superpowers as a force for good. You Got The Love is a vehicle I have created to pay things forward. We can’t always directly help those in need, however, we can fund raise for charities that do.”
